We will be disinfecting the school with an environmentally friendly, non-toxic, chemical recommended by the CDC for hospitals.

The children will be taught to put the lesson they are working on away on the shelf and to leave a token on the lesson to let the other children and staff know that it needs to be sanitized before it can be used again.  Lessons are quickly sanitized by teachers continually throughout the day. Naturally, personal hygiene and hand-washing is taught and monitored.

Lessons and activities will be held outdoors throughout the day to increase distancing and ventilation. Only when the weather forces it, will the students be indoors.

We have also made adjustments to the traditional Montessori snack routine as an additional precaution.

Drop off and pick up will occur outside for the time being. Parents will not be allowed inside the school without an appointment to talk to a teacher. A non-contact thermometer will be used to take each child’s temperature at drop-off.  Please do not leave until your child has had their temperature taken. A temperature of 100.4 or higher will result in your child being sent home. Once your child has been fever free for 24 hours without medication and if other symptoms have not developed, they may return to school. If your child has any of the symptoms of Covid-19, the flu, or any other communicable disease, please keep them home.
